Operation Christmas Child

"Every Shoebox Is A Child"

We are excited to participate annually in the Operation Chirstmas Child shoebox ministry. Through our partnership with Samaritan's Purse, local businesses like WCKB and other local churches, we are able to participate in the giving of literally millions of gift-filled-shoeboxes to children around the world. Many of these children have never received a Christmas gift or heard about Jesus Christ.

Get Involved
If you would like to support this ministry by volunteering, contributing financially or by donating boxes or individual items, we invite you to contact the church for more information. We would be glad to assist you, your church, business or organization in getting started in this simple and worthwhile ministry. It is not hard to get involved, just learn how to pack a shoebox gift and then get started.

Though we put a lot of work into this ministry, our efforts are multiplied by countless thousands through our connection with the international resources of Operation Chirstmas Child and Samaritan's Purse,. It is a great privilege for us to work with Franklin Graham and others who are dedicated to quality Christian ministry.
After our church packs all the shoe box gifts, we like to have a dedication service. We use the frame for our poinsettia tree as a support for our "shoeboxtree". At the end of our dedication service our church gathers around the tree to pray for each box and each child from around the world who will soon be receiving them.
All shoeboxes go to one of several relay centers around the country where they are sorted, inspected and packed into cartons. Several from our church have volunteered to serve at the Charlotte center which is the closest to our church.
Once each box has been inspected and prepared for shipping it is put on either a ship or airplane for transportation around the world to children in need.
